A xeric thermophyle usually saxicole species which sometimes
acts like a ruderal; found frequently in the Balkan and Pannonian
realms in areas where the average multinannual temperature exceeds

of the country.
Pictures were taken in May 2006 on the andesitic rocks at the top
of Deva citadel, Hunedoara county. The photos are not as suggestive
as we would like to be, especially in concerning the leaves of the
species which are otherwise very characteristic but hopefully we
will replace them soon.
